About Robert Michael Patton, DMD,MBA

R. Michael Patton was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a BA degree in microbiology in 1971. He and his family moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 1972. He obtained an MS degree in microbiology from the University of Kentucky in 1975. Michael decided dentistry was his passion, moved to Louisville in 1975 and received his DMD degree from the University of Louisville in 1979. It was then on to specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, where he received his certificate in 1983. He entered private practice in Austin in 1983 where he has practiced ever since. Michael also completed an MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Management from Texas Tech University in 2007.

R. Michael has been married to his wife Shannon for fifty years. They have two children and three grandchildren. He enjoys traveling, exercising, tennis, and music of any kind.
