Meet Dr. John Paul DeGuzman

Board Certified Periodontist and Implant Specialist

Dr. John Paul DeGuzman is a board certified specialist in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. As a periodontist, Dr. DeGuzman is committed to saving teeth by treating the foundation of the tooth structure. By using advanced techniques and specialized training, including implants and gum and bone reconstruction, Dr. DeGuzman is able to replace teeth, gums, and bone when necessary.

Dr. DeGuzman graduated dental school as a valedictorian at the National University College of Dentistry. He then specialized in Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston where he was appointed Chief Resident and graduated with a Master’s degree in Dental Science with a focus in ridge augmentation and implantology.

Dr. DeGuzman prioritizes building strong relationships with his patients. By taking the time to understand each patient’s unique needs and concerns, he develops personalized treatment plans that address your oral health goals. Dr. DeGuzman tries to welcome each patient so you’ll feel like an extended part of his own cherished family.

Dr. DeGuzman and his wife, Charla, are huge Sacramento Kings fans. They love all kinds of activities including basketball, snowboarding, hiking, and eating. Recently, they welcomed their beautiful daughter, Florence, into the world who has quickly become the heart of the family. This of course makes their dog, Bijou, very jealous.
